Ask for help

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that needing help means we're failing. In my years of practice, I've found the opposite: the people who make lasting changes almost always have support.

Help can look like:

  • asking your partner to handle dinner on your busiest night
  • trading school pickups with another parent
  • finding a walking buddy
  • working with a practitioner who can guide you

Asking for help isn't weakness. It gives other people the chance to show up for you, and most of them are glad to.

Try this: name one thing on your plate this week that someone else could take off it. Then ask, simply and directly.
