Boost cellular health with garlic

Garlic is a wonderful antibiotic/antiviral/anti-inflammatory food. Surprisingly, garlic is a great source of vitamin C (a super antioxidant defender), as well as B6, manganese (which helps with digesting carbohydrates), and selenium (which helps prevent heart disease, cancer and heavy metal toxicity). According to a study published in the American Journal of Hypertension, the most potent active nutrient in garlic (called allicin) has been shown to lower blood pressure, insulin, triglycerides and also prevent weight gain.
