Do something kind today

Kindness is good for the giver, too. Research suggests small acts of kindness are linked with a better mood and a greater sense of connection, and the warm feeling often lasts longer than you'd expect.

It doesn't have to be grand:

  • bring a neighbor a jar of soup
  • leave a sticky note thanking a coworker
  • let someone go ahead of you in line
  • text a friend what you admire about them
  • pick up litter on your walk

Before the day is over, choose one act of kindness. Notice how you feel afterward, and how they do.
