Eat before you're starving
Have you ever waited so long to eat that you'd grab anything in sight? That's not a lack of willpower; it's biology. When you go too long without food, blood sugar can dip and your body calls loudly for quick energy, which is why cravings for sweets and refined carbs often hit hardest then.
Eating when you're gently hungry, around a 3 or 4 on the hunger scale, makes calm, balanced choices much easier.
Try this: look for the longest stretch between meals in your day. If it's more than five hours, plan a simple snack for that gap, like an apple with almond butter or a handful of nuts with a cheese stick.
