Goal setting

A vague goal like "eat better" is hard to reach because there's no finish line. A clear goal tells you exactly what to do: "I'll add a vegetable to my lunch four days this week."

I like goals that are specific, realistic and tied to a reason that matters to you. Knowing your why, whether that's more energy for your kids or feeling strong on a hike, keeps you going when motivation dips.

Try this: write one health goal for the next 30 days. Make it specific enough that you'd know by Friday whether you did it, add your reason underneath and put it somewhere you'll see every day.
