Homemade "ranch" dressing
Most bottled ranch is made with refined oils and additives. This Greek yogurt version is creamy, tangy and higher in protein, and it's a great way to get kids excited about raw veggies.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2–3 tablespoons milk or water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt and a pinch of pepper
Preparation:
- Whisk everything together, adding the milk a little at a time until it's as thick or thin as you like.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can blend.
- Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- For a dairy-free version, use plain unsweetened coconut or cashew yogurt.
