Pineapple

An excellent source of vitamin C, B1, B6, dietary fiber and manganese…pineapple is a sweet treat that packs a nutritious punch! Pineapple reached my top picks because of the bromelain found in it, which is basically a bunch of enzymes that assists in healthy digestion, reduces gas, and stops inflammation. To maximize the effects of bromelain found in pineapple, its best to eat a slice or two between meals (or the enzymes within the pineapple will be used up when digesting food). Because of its high Glycemic Index rating, pineapple is not recommended for anyone with blood sugar imbalances.
