Say no to protect your energy
Every yes costs something: time, attention, energy. When we say yes to everything, there's often little left for sleep, a home-cooked meal or simply resting. Saying no isn't selfish. It's how you make room for what matters most, including your health.
A kind, clear no can be simple: "Thank you for thinking of me, but I can't take that on right now." You don't owe a long explanation.
Try this: the next time you're asked to take something on, pause before answering. Say, "Let me check and get back to you," then decide whether it truly fits your week.
