Take a digital sabbath
A digital sabbath is a regular break from screens: a few hours, an evening or a whole day with phones, email and social media switched off. Without the constant pings, many people find they feel calmer, sleep better and connect more deeply with the people around them.
It's a chance to remember what you enjoy when you're not scrolling: cooking a slow meal, reading, walking, playing a game with family.
Try this: choose one block of time this weekend, even just Sunday morning, to go screen-free. Tell friends and family ahead of time, put your phone in a drawer and plan something you'll look forward to.
