Your environment: spiritual
Your spiritual environment is about whatever gives your life meaning and helps you feel connected to something bigger than yourself. For some that's faith or prayer; for others it's time in nature, meditation, creativity or service.
Research links a sense of meaning and purpose with better well-being and resilience during stressful times. It doesn't take a mountaintop retreat. Small, regular moments of stillness can bring you back to what matters.
A few ways to nurture it:
- Start the morning with five quiet minutes before checking your phone
- Spend time outdoors and notice what's around you
- Write down three things you're grateful for
- Volunteer or do something kind for someone
Try this: tomorrow morning, sit quietly for five minutes with a cup of tea and simply breathe.
- environment
- meditation
- self-care
